First race of the season and your first chance to see if all the hard work in the gym (HA!!) and the workshop have paid off...

Any offers of help with organising will be welcome...
Can somebody please confirm that the flags, stopwatches etc will be at Hillingdon on the 12th?

The first race of the year is usually fairly busy with membership renewals as well as race entry...
If you are planning to renew your membership please get there in plenty of time... If you could bring the correct amount of money (or a cheque) that would be helpful as change is sometimes in short supply... You can of course join or renew via the online shop before the event.... http://www.shop.bhpc.org.uk/category/58-20152016-membership.aspx

If you're new to racing please have a quick look at the rules here... http://www.bhpc.org.uk/Events/2014/rules-and-classes.aspx

Helmets must be worn and you must cover any sticky-out bits that might damage another rider or (far more importantly) organiser...

The race format will be as follows....

Registration/Sign-on will open as soon as we get the gates open and the laptop plugged in, definitely by 10am... and will CLOSE at 11:00AM...

Assuming we get a reasonable turnout the field will be split into two... We will need plenty of willing helpers to count laps and operate stopwatches...

11:30am: "Slow" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Anti-Clockwise

12:15pm: "Fast" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Anti-Clockwise

1:30pm: "Slow" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Clockwise

2:15pm: "Fast" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Clockwise.
Points will be awarded equally for clockwise and anticlockwise races...

Can confirm that the flags & stopwatches will get to Hayes via someone from Bloxham. Not sure how many meetings I will make this year. Too little exercise this winter and a shift of attitude.....feeling less masochistic....prefering comfort to effort. Beer is an energy drink!
Never believe an atom they make up everything.

I shall be at Hillingdon and I've got the laptop although not, as yet, any relevant software for it. I'm sure it will all be alright on the day.

I probably won't be racing - organising and racing don't always work very well together, especially as Hillingdon is usually busy with people renewing memberships etc.
Plan was to at least run Speedy round to test the new 451 wheels but it won't be ready in time.
