I see on the WHPVA web site a date and location for the 2013 Worlds:
The venue for the HPV World Championship 2013 has also been fixed. HPV Deutschland e. V. has decided to host this at Leer, Germany on 21. - 23. June 2013. For an event in Germany, it's about as close as you could get to us, too: about a 190-mile drive from Rotterdam. |

I think it is on closed roads, so that rules me out! |

After watching David Hembrow's video of the 2009 event, I think I fancy a trip to Leer, although the 100km event might be a touch tough for this 'ole pensioner. But, Ian P. you must go - have a look at the videos at: http://www.aviewfromthecyclepath.com/2009/08/leer-european-championships.html and tot up the number of straw bales you could take out each lap!

I like that new name for the QXS! "KinderQuest" sounds much better!

Using googles new "bicycling" (that's us on three wheels out then) directions, it comes in at 340km 210Miles to the closest border crossing to Leer from europort, plus another 30km/20miles or so into Germany..
Or according to google 18hrs which sounds quick until you think that's 12mph which is about right using the Dutch networks. :D Doable in one long day, although racing the day after may be a bit hard work. http://goo.gl/maps/PYi1 Edited by fards - 17 July 2012 at 10:45am |
