I've just received an email asking about recumbent riders/activity in the Dorset & West Hampshire region (see below). Can anyone offer any advice on this?? "A friend of 45 years has just moved from Yorkshire to near me in Poole. He is in his 70s and so arthritic he can barely walk. He is a keen recumbent cyclist and can do 40 miles easily. His wife is very ill and I'm doing all I can to help research recumbent activities that he could reach. Is there anyone in you network who may be able to give me some pointers in east Dorset or west Hampshire. His driving is unimpaired
I'm very much working off web sites at the moment. One mentioned that some cycling clubs allow recumbent participation in some events, although this appears rare. I can't find any in area clubs. Many thanks for your time Tony McKiddie" |
