Big News! Chris Hamilton has secured us a spot on the superb Derby Indoor Velodrome on Saturday 19th August (the day before Darley Moor). Your one chance this year to blast your machine around a 250m indoor Velodrome. Strictly limited to 30 places, this is open to MEMBERS ONLY at the moment. If there are still places available by the end of June we may open it up to non-members. Last year it was over-subscribed so be quick to secure your place. http://shop.bhpc.org.uk/derby-velodrome
Please note this is a stand-alone event and does not form part of the BHPC Championship.

So far only 8 BHPC members have signed up for the Derby Velodrome racing on 19th Aug.

The track cost is a stonking £750 for three hours, so we need 30 riders to break even.

If you're wanting to race there then please sign up (via the BHPC webshop) ASAP as we are now planning to open up places for non-BHPC members earlier than the end of June to ensure we can confidently fill up the places rather than having to cancel the event and refund those that have already paid.

We have a BHPC race event at Darley Moor the day after (just 17 miles Northwest of Derby Velodrome).
It will be possible to camp at Darley Moor on the Friday and the Saturday nights for those that want to. Basic facilities (ie toilets and plenty of grass to pitch tents/camper-vans on, but the cost is only £5 per pitch per night. no need to book the camping, just turn up and we'll collect camping payments at the Darley Moor race sign-on on the Sunday. On the Friday/Saturday night I've been told that the gates to the Darley Moor circuit will be closed at a certain time, but won't be locked so it will be possible to get in and pitch camp whatever time you arrive.

We have now opened up entry to the Derby Velodrome event to non-BHPC members. The cost for entry to non-members is £28. Of course you can still join the club and then enter Derby at £25.
Please note that because of the steep banking pedal cars may not work very well but you are welcome to ride a road bike and an indoor velodrome is an amazing experience
