Booked in for Stourport now but not Shrewsbury. Unfortunately the late notification meant I have other commitments on the Sunday. Not been to Stourport track before so will be interesting to see how we go.

Looks like the race format for this one will be 30 minutes + 1 lap each way.

Important Notice
I've just heard from Shrewsbury that their newly resurfaced track may not now be ready for the weekend. Apparently needs some additional minor work done to meet safety inspection requirements before they can open it for use. Will hopefully know by mid-week. Stourport is available on Sunday 1st Aug. Would obviously prefer a shrewsbury sunday as I'm conscious people will have already made plans and/or booked camping/accommodation So, I'll contact Shrewsbury on Wed. If they cant give a definite yes to the track being ready on time, I'll book stouport for the Sunday, so we'll have 2 days at the same venue. Will Post a definite answer here on Wed. |

Have spoken to Shrewsbury Sports Village today. The finishing touches to the cycle track are now complete and are awaiting awaiting a final safety inspection tomorrow to get it officially signed off as good for use.
They will contact me tomorrow to confirm when this has been done. As soon as I hear, I will post on Facebook 'n' Forum to let everybody know for definite whether Sunday 1st Aug will be at Shrewsbury. Online registration for both this saturday and sunday's events have therefore also been extended until 10pm tomorrow

Something has come up at work and I'm not going to be able to make it to the race at Stourport this weekend (gutted). Is there anyway I can cancel my entry so someone else can race if they want?

Yep, can do... We're okay for numbers at this point, and entries remain open until 10pm tonight. We're still waiting for confirmation from Sherwsbury about the state of their track.
