This is the place for discussion about the 9th round of the 2018 BHPC races on the cycle circuit at Darley Moor Motor Cycle Race Circuit, DE6 2ET: 

 

Sign on starts at 10:00.  Races will begin at 11:00

Race formats are:

SLOW  3 laps

FAST   3 laps

SLOW   47 min + 1 lap

FAST    47 min + 1 lap

DRAG RACES (one-on-one standing start sprints along one side of the triangular circuit)

Points will be split 40/40/20 across the three rounds

I can now confirm that camping is available at Darley on the Fri and Sat eves.
 
For anyone wanting to camp, the gates will be closed (but not locked). Just let yourself in (but please close the gates behind you) and park in the comeptitors car park (up near the toilets). Price is £5 per pitch per night.
 
I'll collect camping fees off people during at race sign-on on the Saturday.
 
Its very basic facilities (grass, toilets and fresh air), don't think there is drinking water available.
 
I'm intending to be there both nights.....

If trying to use a satnav to find Darley Moor please note the circuit itself doesn't have an actual postcode. The nearest postcode to the circuit entrance is DE6 2GT; the nearest postcode on the A515 is DE6 2ET. As neither of these will get you to the actual circuit entrance you may be better off using a grid reference:

Once again David L'Hostis's tags weren't entirely reliable so if he, or anyone else, has better intel than this on his number of laps in the second race then I'm happy to fix.

I am sure why it missed so many laps. In any case, I did 16 laps and finished in between the ice vtx, i.e. after Matthew Le Ruez

The timing data for the 55-min race is now available on the BHPC website:
There was a technical problem with the timing system for the first (slower) 3-lap race and the faster 3-lap race needs a bit of cleaning up before it's presentable enough to be seen in public.

Thanks David. I don't knpw why your tags are missed so often; your tags for the Worlds were absolutely fine, it's just the regular BHPC ones that have a problem.

Many thanks for those organising the race and also to Andrew for getting the results published in good time.
Think there maybe an error in Mike Burrow's time in the 3 lap though.

Number 83 The ex John Lafford Arrow was unfaired. So not just Open class.
