2018 Round 1: Hillingdon, Sunday 8th April

Ladies and Gentlemen,Welcome to the 2018 BHPC Race Season... First race is at Hillingdon on Sunday 8th April.

Any offers of help with organising will be welcome as always...

The first race of the year is usually fairly busy with membership renewals as well as race entry...
If you are planning to renew your membership please get there in plenty of time... If you could bring the correct amount of money (or a cheque) that would be helpful as change is sometimes in short supply... You can of course join or renew via the online shop before the event.... Standard adult membership is still just £15 and we now have the option of e-membership (no paper magazine, download only) at a ridiculously cheap £6 - https://shop.bhpc.org.uk/2018-2019

Helmets must be worn and you must cover any sticky-out bits that might damage another rider or (far more importantly) organiser...

The race format will be as follows....

Registration/Sign-on will open as soon as I get the gates open and the laptop plugged in, definitely by 10am... and will CLOSE at 11:00AM...

Assuming we get a reasonable turnout the field will be split into two... Points will be awarded equally for clockwise and anticlockwise races...

Thanks to everybody who came along and braved the grotty contitions today, and to Andrew and Heather for sorting the timing and race results.

Most importantly of course, thanks to Alice who sold £7,895 worth of stickers ensuring that the committee will once again be off on a Caribbean cruise shortly. We will be thinking of you all. 

Hi folks thanks once again for an interesting days racing and to all the folks that made it so, first race for me was a mini disaster as my helmet came off because the strap worked loose,  thank you to the kind gentleman for retrieving it for me, so after a short pit stop and being in the fast race I was at the back back by about two laps, second race was not too bad apart from the weather and thanks to Neil for helping me along by making me work harder so here are a few photo's from the slow race not sure what was more blurry me after two late nights or the camera probably on the wrong shutter speed after me messing with it in the week so here goes anyway copy any you want.

Following full restoration of willpower, I am happy to report the results of the first two races:
