Hi Folks
thanks as always for another great days racing, and to the organizing team for fitting in a tight program of races, highs and memorable moments for me, sunshine at York there is a novelty, it was so nice I decided to take a short ramble on the grassy knoll at the side of the bottom hairpin, sounds more romantic than it actuly was, also Ian squires decking his streamliner at the start of the second race but regained himself and started again then eventualy changed bikes altogether, poor jochan who pulled up thinking he had a loose bolt in his tiller steering when on closer inspection found it had sheared and luckily had not gone altogether while he was still riding, great to see Mike back racing on his latest incarnation although he appeared to have some blood trickling from his ankle area so not totaly damage free, also respect to the younger racers who race every time in all weathers and who I'm sure will be ones to watch in future, thanks to Brian for slowing to help me back into the race very sporting of you and to Guss for timing me and who for some reason I kept calling Russ sorry about that mate, and the devil, confused ! you will be or maybe its just me, and lastly Ian perry who appeared later in the day who did not race but just came along to socialize after riding in his DF velomobile for 105 miles to get there what a nice man, he fancied a bike ride was his explanation and not to forget the 105 miles home again wow !, so here are some photo's of the day copy any you want, cheers, Jeff.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/recumbents/

Great photos as ever. Thanks for not posting a photo of me rolling around at the start, you're more sensitive than those Belgians
Out of my 8 starts in the Bream, I'm up to 3 fails now. That's not good stats in anyone's book and I'm glad no money has changed hands for paint. Although plenty on resin and Kevlar tape.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day's racing, if not particularly my first time organising - although that was maybe due to having worked silly hours in the week and not being fully with it.  Many thanks to Heather for patiently explaining things over and over... :)

The 40min race was great fun - Chris and I caught Mike up with a few laps to go, who decided he wanted to play and stuffed-up our carefully calibrated last lap plans, forcing an almost-full lap sprint rather than 50m to the line...

Strava flyby for the 1st 20min race here - it works best with the speed set to 16x or thereabouts: http://labs.strava.com/flyby/viewer/#660370987?c=gcx6bv5u&z=I&t=1Ndc_Y&a=K3ZcJ6JMWSfxdlonXbdVJyhfXCc&s=4J

Great Photos Jeff, only problem for me now is that I told Jen i was going up to my parents to do a bit of gardening all day, now she's seen photographic evidence that I was in fact socialising and having a laugh with you lot - oh well never mind I'm sure the Ouch, will fade soon.
Ian, not so ex racer but still of dubious capability

If its any consolation Mr Squires I have been bitten by the Cobra about four times now, note to self safety first and don't race people round hairpins or sneak up on deaf upright trike riders on the inside shouting on the left as at Hillingdon.

Fantastic photos Jeff, I see you were using a special filter on the camera that converted my pained grimace into a smile great to meet up with you all again, see you soon.
